In order to enhance the learning experience and provide additional support for teachers and students, ClassIn aims to introduce a new feature called Opening Video. This feature allows schools and teachers to pre-set a video that will automatically play and loop before the start of a scheduled lesson.

With this functionality, students who enter the virtual classroom early (up to 10 minutes before the scheduled start time) can watch the designated video. This provides them with an opportunity to review past lessons, recall important concepts, or engage in guided preparation activities without requiring the teacher to manually open or play the video.

This initiative demonstrates ClassIn’s commitment to improving service coverage, supporting student learning outcomes, and strengthening ClassIn’s position as a comprehensive education technology platform.

Objectives:

• Allow teachers/admins to select one video as the default opening video when creating a lesson.

• Ensure the video is automatically available to students from the moment they can access the classroom (10 minutes before the official start time).

• Support auto-play (video starts running automatically) and auto-loop (video restarts automatically once it finishes).

Key Requirements:

1. Video Selection:

   • Only one video can be selected per lesson.

   • Videos must be picked from the Organization Drive (Org Drive); direct uploads are not allowed.

   • The selection is made in the Lesson Creation Interface.

   • On the ClassIn App, the teacher must already be assigned to the Org Drive. If not, the system will trigger an error notification when attempting to set the Opening Video.

2. Playback Settings:

   • Auto Play: Video starts automatically once students enter the room.

   • Auto Loop: Video restarts automatically until the scheduled start time of the lesson.

3. Conditions:

   • Video will only appear when the classroom is accessible for students (10 minutes prior to the lesson start time).

   • Teacher does not need to manually start the video.

• Provide students with a structured pre-class review period.

• Reduce teacher preparation workload during the opening minutes of class.

• Improve overall user satisfaction for both schools and students.
